Q. Do your keyboards need special driver?

A. A few of our keyboards have programmable keys and do require a special drivers that are easy to install. Most do now require special software to operate, just plug and play.

Q. How long does it take to adjust to the new angle of the keyboard?

A. Some adjust quickly as short as 2 day others take longer, depending on the degree of change and the lenght of time using the keyboard. At first you may hit wrong keys, but has you learn to hold your arms angled with the keys the keystokes will come more natural. Changing to the erognomic keyboard will enable you to type without some of the pain that is associated with Carpal Tunnel. If you experience pain, then stop and consult your doctor. Our keyboards are designed to ease the symptoms not cure the cause that we leave to the medical field.

What operating systems will Your keyboards operate on?

The keyboards sold at ergocarpal will operate on any USB-equipped PC running Windows 98SE/WinNT*, 2000, ME and XP. Several of the keyboards are also Vista compatible. MAC OS keyboards should usually work for the latest MacOS if it's a keyboard designed for Mac's. * Note: Windows NT does not support USB devices.

I only have one PS/2 port available on my computer, and I need two tin order to connect a touchpad keyboard.

Some of our keyboards require two PS/2 ports for proper operation. They will NOT work with any type of serial (DB-9) adapter. To solve this problem with most common on laptops and legacy desktop computer, we have available a PS/2 to USB adapter. The adapter will connect both PS/2 ports for the touchpad keyboard into one USB port.

Can I use multiple mice at the same time?

Yes, if they are USB mice that do not require special software. If they are plug an play, then our mouse will work with other mice or our other touchpad mice.

What is the difference feature-wise between a touchpad and a regular mouse?

All Glidepoint Touchpads are designed as Microsoft Compatible mice. The Touchpads are hardware compatible and will function on any version of Microsoft Windows operating system PC's as a standard two button serial or PS/2 port mouse without the installation of GlidePoint drivers and utilities. If you own a GlidePoint touchpad product which does not have drivers available for your Microsoft Windows operating system, you may still use the product in it's baseline compatible mode.
